Sudanese Technocontracting is a private limited company, established in 1965 to promote new activities in the field of Engineering and Construction.
We have our own construction equipment including truckmixers, tippers, loaders, motorgraders, excavators, compactors, water tankers, etc., etc.
Since its establishment in 1965 our company is heavily engaged in various lines of activities, such as the execution of major civil construction works and turnkey industrial projects.
We executed, as general contractor, a considerable number of civil construction, engineering projects in the Sudan.
In joint venture with European equipment and material suppliers, we have also executed many turnkey industrial projects, silos, feed and flour mills in Sudan, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Yemen and Arab Republic of Egypt.
The major projects executed by our company as general contractor:
Turnkey 80 T/D and 160 T/D flour mills for Mohammed Abdorabo Flour Mills Co. in Port Sudan/Sudan in 1970/71 and 1975/76 respectively.
A turnkey 160 T/D flour mill for Ahlia Flour Mills Co. Khartoum North / Sudan in 1973.
Supply and erection of 34 pre-engineered steel structure warehouses, each 4000 square meter for the Emirates and Sudan Investment Co. in Port Sudan in 1982/84, involving huge quantities of excavation, backfill and foundation works. This was an international tender with over 80 bidders.
Execution of the civil and electromechanical erection works of a 720 T/D Animal Feed Mill in Sudan in 1981/82 for The Arab Company for Livestock Development in joint venture with Messrs. Ocrim of Cremona / Italy. We did the civil works and collaborated with the equipment suppliers in the erection. 45 Italian technicians, fitters, and chief fitters were working under our management.
Execution of the civil works for a 520 T/D Flour Mill with pre-engineered steel structures for Red Sea Flour Mill in Hodeida / Yemen.
Turnkey execution of a 300 T/D flour mill with 5 steel structure warehouses and 4 metal bins in 1988/89 for Albagair Flour Mills Co. Ltd. in Sudan. Only one Italian chief fitter and thirteen Asian fitters have been recruited for this project, which has been completed in only 19 months from start of excavation to the milling test run.
Turnkey execution of a 500 T/D flour mill including steel structure head houses, power house and warehouse as well as 10 steel grain storage bins and 1800 square meters of ancillary buildings for offices and services in reinforced concrete for Wadi Elnil Flour Mills Co. Ltd. in Borg Alarab Arab Republic of Egypt in 1996/97. The project has been executed with our top management, Sudanese engineers, Sudanese foremen, Italian chief fitter, Asian erectors and Egyptian working force and completed in only 14 months from start of excavation first of November 1996 till milling test run mid January 1997.
In cooperation with Messrs. Ocrim S.P.A of Cremona Italy we have recruited from the Sudan and fully managed the whole manpower i.e. site managers, engineers, foreman, skilled labour, administrative staff such as clerks, accountants etc. for the execution of the numerous major projects of flour mills, feed mills, storage facilities for The Grain, Silos and Flour Mills Organization in The Kingdom of Saudi Arabia
At Riyadh, Dammam and Qasseem in 1976/78.
At Khamis Mushayt in 1979/81 and extension in 1982/85.
With regards to international tenders our Company has been prequalified and submitted offers for the:
Mechanical Delinting and Dehulling Project for Arab Sudanese Vegetable Oil Co.(ASVOC)in Khartoum North as one of only two prequalied Sudanese contractors. The consultant was Shawinigan of Belgium / Canada. We submitted a turnkey offer as main contractor with equipment suppliers from Federal Germany and USA. Our offer was one of the two offers negotiated for award until the project was shelved in 1985.
Oil Extraction and Processing project of ASVOC in Khartoum North. The consultants were Newtech / Doshi Borgan of Sudan.
We offered in a joint venture with French Oil of the U.S.A, and Messrs. Andreotti of Cremona / Italy. Our offer was competing with HVA/De Smet Rosedown Group, who received the award in 1990.
Large Warehouse in Port Sudan for storage of sugar prior to export for Kenana Sugar Co. / Sudan. The consultants were Muir Associates of Dublin. We submitted a turnkey offer. Project was shelved in 1987.
In all the above mentioned projects, executed by our company, huge quantities of excavation and backfill as well as foundation works for metal silos, metal bins as well as concrete bins, which have been casted using slip forms.
Our engineers and civil works foremen dispose through their work in the above mentioned projects of valuable experience in civil construction and electromechanical installation works.
We have executed for China Petroleum Engineering and Construction Company (CPECC) Dushanzi Refinery Construction Company In Geili from June 1998 till February 1999 huge quantities of excavation and backfill works.
Since March 1999 we have a contract with the same company for the execution of Oxidation Pond for the refinery also involving big quantities of excavation, backfill and compaction works which was completed in June 1999 as scheduled.
Our senior staff disposes of profound experience in the logistical management and execution of big size projects and are well acquainted with the construction conditions in the Sudan, Yemen, Saudi Arabia and Arab Republic of Egypt.
Four civil engineers, one experienced repair and maintenance mechanical engineer, twelve civil works foremen and one mechanical workshop foreman are available for the site management and execution of the works.
We are confident that our record of experience and that of our engineers and civil works foremen, who have been for more than twenty years with our company, shall reflect positively on the quality of the works.
